How I See Myself At 23 Years Old
Out & About: Wawel Castle (Poland)
I went to Poland. No not last month… not even last year. I went in 2018. I had an amazing law school class trip and I didn’t say a word. In order to keep myself together during the pandemic I have manifested newfound productivity. Here is the retelling of what my brain can recall about the time I had a touristy trip to Wawel Castle in Krakow.
Out & About: Kraków (Poland)
In 2018, I visited Poland. I spent a few days in the amazing city of Krakow and saw many amazing places. This is just a general overview of the city and getting around with pictures to boot. I’ve got 2 further posts about historical sites I visited whilst there. Yes I know it is 2020, just be glad that I actually decided to share the trip.

Unpacking: Patriarchy & Toxicity in Relationships
A lot of toxic behaviours in relationships are deeply rooted in patriarchal thinking. The sense of entitlement men develop in these relationships as well as the desire to take more than necessary from men acting on the “instinct” to provide. Patriarchy has tipped the advantaged far into the male corner certainly but women also use the patriarchy and have developed “trash” tendencies because of it. Men and women are both toxic and “trash” and this has led to a very unhealthy relationship dynamic.
Unpacking: Blackness
My relationship and understanding of blackness now is a lot different from what is used to be before I left Antigua. The lens through which I view race has changed drastically as I now understand how privileged it is to navigate blackness in a predominately black space. I saw some tweets today that got my mind thinking about my relationship with blackness as well as the complex nature of race. There’s a lot to unpack.
