I am very involved and engaged in social media. I am a firm believer in the core concept that drives its growth and popularity. That concept being to make viable connections with varying people across the globe, a connectivity that defies borders.

I am well known for establishing social media connections and using my various social media accounts to promote myself. That's how I scored my Job as the in-house photographer and content curator for Cocobay Resort which I have continuously promoted on my personal account and here on my blog.

As you can see, the title of my post has nothing to do with discussing the benefits of social media, but rather, the name of a person. Patricia Roberts is a creative who i met through a mutual acquaintance who i also met via social media. She sent me a DM (direct message) on instagram hoping to meet up for a shoot as she is from London and will be heading back on November 6th.

We quickly switched the Wheres and Whens and the clicks that followed captured the most beautiful photographs of my photogenic pal. This is the power of Social Media. We shouldn't use it to degrade people and circulate hate, we should however make real connections, we should be truly social and use these platforms to connect, instead of withdrawing from the world.

Now, true to my nature, I will post a flurry of photographs that I took today of the wonderful Patricia.
